Over UEA weekend we went up to Park City with my family. My parents have a time share up there, so we were able to go up for the weekend and hang out. We had a great time, just relaxing. We had a little Halloween party while we were there. The kids all dressed up in their costumes and we made Halloween cookies. I don't know what it is about Halloween sugar cookies, but I LOVE them. Here is a little collage of pictures from that night. All the kids looked so cute.

K, this next picture of Karston needs to have its own story. During the summer when we went to the HME gathering in Kansas, on the Sunday that we left we had a story teller come and tell stories...she was great! One of the stories she told was "The Ghost with the 1 black eye". He has talked about that ever since June. So he decided that is what he wanted to be for Halloween. I got a sheet from the store, made his costume, although I have to admit at first it looked like a little girls dress when I put it on...so with a little tweaking, I don't think it turned out so bad. So, when we were in Park City, this was the first time we had tried it out with the makeup and everything. After I got him dressed and put his makeup on I said "Do you want to look in the mirror?". When I held him up to the mirror to look at himself he hurried and covered his eyes. He was scared of himself. For the next hour everytime he passed the mirror he ran by it with his eyes closed. So this picture is of him sitting on the couch, not very happy about his scary face, trying not to fall asleep. We were all laughing SO hard. He dozed off and I washed him face off. I put him in a separate room from all of us. About 30 minutes later he woke up crying and freaking out, because he thought he still had makeup on and he was in a dark room all by himself. He kept telling me he didn't want to be "The Ghost with the 1 black eye" anymore for Halloween, he wanted to be a "nice mouse". K, where did the "nice mouse" come from? I have no idea. He cracks me up. So, for our ward Halloween party he didn't wear makeup at all, so he looked like an angel. Then I told him he had to wear the makeup on Halloween to go trick-or-treating or else he wouldn't get any candy. After a fight and a lot of tears, and washing half of it off....he was okay with "a little bit" of white makeup...but "no black eye".
So we had a great Halloween. Here are some pictures of the kids. Brylee was Hannah Montana. I tried to discourage it, but Nate said I should let her be who she wants to be....so I let it go :) And Tyson was my little Harry Potter. We went to Brindy and Ken's to eat and go trick-or-treating Halloween night and then we ended up going to Nate's parents house in Hyrum after . The kids had a great time playing in the leaves Saturday at Grandma and Grandpas. We had a great weekend. I'm glad it's over and I look forward to Thanksgiving!
