School Begins

Today was Brylee's first day of 2nd Grade. I can't believe the summer is over. She is going to a new school this year. It seems like the last 3 years everytime we move she ends up going to a new school, so she always has to make new friends...which she never has a problem doing. We are in the process of moving, so I registered her at her new school, so for the next few days I will be driving and picking her up. This morning it took me 1-1/2 hours to drive there and back. Sound like fun? :)
So, last night we went to the Open House to meet her teacher. She seems like she is going to be a great teacher. Brylee also wanted to meet the principle. I guess the principle at her old school was really involved with the kids...not like they usually aren't, but she apparently loved the principle. So, we went to the office and had them call her principle in. He was really nice, and I think impressed that she wanted to meet him. It was really cute. She has been worried the last few weeks that she isn't reading that well and everybody else in her class is going to be reading better. We are sort of struggling with it, but I know she will do great. We are going to get on a more regular routine at our house and I'll be able to spend more time with her reading.
2nd grade here we come!

She is starting to look so grown up. You're moving? Where to? I can't believe you have to drive that long. Yuck. Hope you're feeling okay! :)
