Karston's birthday landed on a Sunday this year...not so fun :) We went to How To Train Your Dragon the day before and he absolutely loved it. So...even though he had been asking me for weeks for pirate stuff for his birthday...I found this game, thinking he would love it. Uh...no. The first thing he said was "I wanted a pirate". I'm such a good mom. I always get my kids things they don't want for their birthday. :)
It was also Juliet's blessing day. So, it was fun-filled because we had all the family there, great food provided by Bryce and Kasie and her family and lots of kids to play with, so I'm sure he had more fun than he normally would have.
A few days later I threw a party for Karston with some of his neighbor friends. So, he got his pirate birthday party that he wanted. I think the pirate cake turned out pretty darn cute. One of his friends he invited was his friend Matthew down the road. When Karston dropped of his invite, Matthew's mom asked what he wanted for his birthday and of course he wanted something pirate. So...she found a pirate ship on KSL and bought it for him. Uh...how cool is that? Karston was SO excited. At least the neighbor mom made his birthday right. :)
