Month of September

Happy Birthday Nate!!!

Friday night we had a party with Nate's family as it was his dad's birthday 2 days previous and our sister-in-law's birthday this Friday, Happy Birthday Guys! Saturday was Nate's Birthday and so I decided to surprise him with tickets to the BYU game. Although, the surprise got spoiled, he was still excited to go. BYU played against Wyoming...not one of the best teams to watch BYU play (in my opinion, although UCLA was and we killed them as well), but it was still fun. We decided that we LOVE watching the games on T.V., you get reruns, your own snacks and a comfy chair :) Anyway, thanks Nate for being such a great husband and a great father. You always do amazing things and are trying your hardest ALL the time. I hope you had a great birthday!

This is the cake Brindy made for Nate...thanks Brindy...it was so cute and very tasty!!!

I have to post this picture because it is so cute.
Tyson was looking and playing with himself in the mirror, he loved it.

K, so this next picture is a picture of the food I bought the other day at Albertson's. I copied Heather and am posting a picture of my food. :) Thanks Heather by the way for the coupons for the Malt-o-Meal cereal, I got 4 bags for free.

So, I started this "Savvy Shopper" coupon program in March and I LOVE it. I am sure you have all heard about it. Kristy and I went to a little class they had in the little theater at Macey's (FREE) in March and after that class I was convinced this was the greatest thing...which has turned out to be the funnest way to save money. So, the reason why I decided to post my "great deal" this week is because I want everyone I know to know about it. I think with the economy and the way things are going and the counsel we have been given to "be prepared" and to have a food storage, this is the best way to do it (in my opinion). You basically cut your grocery bill in half and you get twice as much food. Every time I go with my coupons to the store I ALWAYS save at least 50-60%...it's an awesome feeling. So, this week when I went to Albertson's my bill was 125.00, then she started scanning my coupons. My bill ended up being $60.00. I got 76 items for 60 dollars...that is .79 an item.

So, if you are interested you can either go to SavvyShopperDeals.com and sign up for the emails there and find out all the information, or you can email me and I'll let you know how to do it. It's an amazing feeling when you get so much food for basically nothing. Thanks for reading, I felt I needed to share.

That is amazing. I have to look into that. I know it would help us out a lot. Happy B-day Nate! I'm glad you guys had fun at the game. It's always better when they win. I should have done that for Joe. I surprised him with tickets to the So You Think You Can Dance concert. I'm sure he would have way rather gotten football tickets!

First off, happy birthday to Nate! I'm glad you got to go the BYU game. Clayton gets his season tickets every year as part of his birthday present and he loves going with his friends :)

Hey Brande,

I have never heard of savvy shoppers but have a lot of friends who do pinching your pennies which it sounds like they are similar. That's great that you can save all that money!!

Yay for Nate -- I hope he had a great day, given the circumstances. :) I was happy to make the cake...It be fun to take cake decorating classes to become a real pro. I'm still working on the coupon thing, hopefully I'll get into a groove where I can go every week to make my newspaper subscription worth the money.
