Serial Casting...

Tyson's Occupational Therapist at Orem Pediatric Rehab put a cast on Tyson a couple of days ago for therapy. What we would normally do is cast his "good" arm (lefty) so he can learn to use righty more, but this time we are casting "righty" to get some good stretching of his thumb, fingers and wrist. His therapist said that he might be "sore", or he might need some Tylenol the first couple of nights because of the swelling or irritation, but Tyson has done awesome. He didn't mind them putting it on and he hasn't minded it since, not even at night. This is going to last 3 weeks long, so next week we go back and have them take it off and reposition his hand and wrist and then put it back on. Brylee was so excited to write her name on his cast. She asks all of her friends and Karston's friends if they want to write their name on it. She even had a friend at school write her name on a piece of tape so she could tape it to his cast. :)
